2009 Player Report: Explosive arm action and hard downer curveball combined with an ultra competitive nature make Ryan a top prospect. Four-seam fastball can touch 95 but 86-90mph sinker is better pitch because of hard boring action in on righties. Plus CB in the 77-80mph range. Flashes of pure power at the plate are not uncommon but since he projects so well on the mound this gets overlooked. | |
