All Sports Tube (AST) & Swing Surgeon (SS) presents:
Starting December nights in Sioux City, Iowa, AST and SS will have live sessions for pitchers who want to throw live. All players who sign up including pitchers and catchers will all arrive at our To Be Determined facility in Sioux City at 5pm to run through stretching, proper warm-up technique before starting their live pitching.
Every week, pitchers will be on pitch counts starting with
- 2 sets of 15 pitches the first week
- 3x the 2nd week
- 4x the 3rd
- 5x the 4th week
After every session is complete all pitching arms will be iced before leaving the facility.
Week 1 2 x 15 30 pitches*
Week 2 3 x 15 45 pitches*
Week 3 4 x 15 60 pitches*
Week 4 5 x 15 75 pitches*
* All pitchers will be monitored and work at their own pace if need be. These are suggested pitch counts as we realize that everyone is working to their own abilities, strengths and weaknesses.
Balls and strikes will be called by either our umpires or our instructors. Player stats will be tracked including pitchers’ innings pitched, strikeouts, walks allowed. All stats will be posted online each week at www.allsportstube.com.
Players who sign up are encouraged to sign up for all four days but it’s not required.
This environment is going to be very relaxed and a place where instructors, professional baseball players and college players will be able to share information about setting up hitters, approach at the plate and all around strategy when competing in game situations.
